Make extra cash with EBay Classifieds Atlanta!

Recenlty Kijiji Atlanta, eBay’s safe and family-friendly local classifieds site, was rebranded as eBay Classifieds Atlanta! EBay Classifieds is celebrating by offering Atlantans insight to help spruce up their homes and perhaps even make some extra money this spring through a virtual yard sale. Here are a few family friendly tips and insight to the benefits of using EBay Classifieds for your virtual yard sale:

1.) Weather is no longer a consideration

There’s no more crossing your fingers that the rain doesn't turn people away from your outdoor yard sale. Listing items online allows for more of an opportunity to showcase your items – users can visit the item’s post early morning, late at night or in the rain.

2.) You don't have to give up a weekend to sell off your goods

Posting an item is fast. It takes about 5 clicks and less than a minute to post a description and upload the item to an online classifieds site. Then you just sit back and wait for interested customers to contact you.

3.) Your back, arms and legs will love you for it

There’s no more lugging items out of storage all at once. You can post one item or 15 items, and your customers will be none the wiser. So instead of waiting around until you have enough items to sell at your yard sale, or breaking your back setting a yard sale up on Saturday morning, post items virtually within the comfort of your home.

4.) Reach a greater audience

Instead of relying upon neighbors to drive by or notice a flyer, post an item online to guarantee a greater reach! Not only is it easier and faster to post the item online, but it allows people who might not otherwise have known about your yard sale to be exposed to your listing and potentially purchase the item

Callaway Gardens Spring Getaway

Spring, as one can easily guess, is a beautiful time to visit Callaway Gardens. Callaway has something for the whole family. There are literally hundreds of gorgeous biking trails to ride through, and no worries if not everyone has a bike. Callaway has a huge selections of bikes for rent including kid-size bikes and bikes with infant seats on the back.

There is so much to talk about with Callaway! I have taken this kids here several times. They have something to do for all ages, so everyone stays busy or happily relaxed.

Their Easter Eggstravaganza at Robin Lake Beach is April 3rd from 2 - 5. Hunts are held by age groups, and the Easter Bunny will visit from noon to 5:00 p.m. for boys and girls to have their Easter photo taken. You can bring your own basket or buy one when you arrive. The Egg hunts are free with your admission to Callaway Gardens. (and admission is also free with the packages I mention below :-)

The Callaway Gardens Get Outside and Play Package, starts at $99 per night and includes lodging, two hours of free bike rentals, a free round of golf, two hours of Jon Boat Rental, an hour of Tennis Court Time, admission to Callaway Gardens and the use of their fitness center.

Callaway Facebook Fans, Twitter Followers, and all lovers of the outdoors can get a room starting at just $79 (which included admission to the Gardens). Simply mention the FB/Twitter deal when you make your reservation. As of this post, rooms for April 5 - 9 were still available.

And ahm, Callaway has a spa! This package would be great for a couple families. Let the dads golf for a bit while moms and kids take an amazing bike ride through a few of the trails together, then Moms hit the spa while dads take the kids through the Butterfly Conservatory or the Birds of Prey Exhibit, or even take them on a Geocaching Treasure Hunt.

Geocaching is a blast for kids and an interactive way to enjoy the Gardens. Callaway has hidden “treasures” throughout the Gardens for you to find either by using a GPS unit or by following map directions. Click here for a complete list and description of the caches and search on ZIP code 31822. All of the caches within the Gardens begin with the pre-fix “Callaway Gardens.” Caches are placed in cooperation with the Gardens’ Education Department to ensure that the plants, natural communities, and other features of Callaway Gardens are not damaged or cause searchers to become lost.

So Get Outside and Play! happy trails :-)

Note: There is a Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain you will pass on your way to Callaway Gardens. A friend and I stopped there once with the kids. Once. Maybe its changed. Maybe it hasn't. Riding through using their complimentary Tour Bus, which is running during the week of Spring Break, could prove a completely different experience AND it has been over five years since I was there. Just sayin - cause it's expensive! ($17.95 for adults, $14.95 3-12, toddlers free)

What to Buy When Guide for April

First of all, the key is timing. Also, working with manufacturer discounts, clearance sales, off-season discounts, and coupon and discount codes is important. You will find the current months buys highlighted for easy reference.

Electronics
A lot of electronics are made in Japan. The best time to get good deal is in the spring as they try to unload old inventory for the new fiscal year. Look at big screen TV’s before the Super Bowl too! For home theaters, in general the holidays can be a good time and January. Computers, a good rule of thumb is the middle of summer to take advantage of the back-to-school sales or winter holiday markdowns.

Furniture
The best time to buy furniture is Feb-April and Aug-October. So do some planning and look around during these times, you'll find the deals.

Toys
Obviously the holiday season is one of the best times to buy toys. The problem with the holiday season is that everyone else is buying then too and you might not find what you want. Try shopping the end of summer clearance and in October.

Cookware
One is in the spring, in April and May, coinciding with the graduation and wedding season. The other is in October and November, with promotions in regard to the holidays.

Clothing
Off-Season, clearance, and try going on Thursdays. If you wait until the weekend you're likely to find other folks ransacking for the best deals and selections which means things have been picked through. And don’t forget to bring coupons!

Appliances
Best time is September and October as new models are coming out.

Wedding Gowns
November

Car
First, shop online. You can find out the price of cars online and even locate what and where to buy what you want. Next, the next year's models come out in early fall and to make room the old inventory has to go. Shop in the early fall. Go at the end of the month - it's all about quotas. If the dealership has made their monthly quotas, they are likely to make a deal. The end of the year again is another great time as they are trying to get rid of all the old inventory.

Food & others

April: Candy, eggs, ham, cheese, frozen pies, cake mix, electronics, vacuums, cookware, tires and auto supplies
