Rudolph is coming to town and My Atlanta Mommy has a 4-Pack of Tickets to Win!

I recently saw Charlotte's Web at the Center for Puppetry Arts.  What a fantastic show.  Of course, the puppetry was amazing, but so was the way they made the fireworks and the spiders floating away come alive.  There were many oohs and ahhs from the little ones! There is still time to see it too - its playing through Oct. 31st!

A holiday classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is coming soon to town and he's giving you lots of chances to see him too!  He will be visiting from November 18 to January 2, 2011.

Tickets for two and older are $16.00 and include admission to the performance, Create-A-Puppet Workshop (or Create-A-Puppet To-Go Kit), and all museum exhibits.  Visit here for details and to purchase your tickets.  Included in the ticket cost is admission to the Create-A-Puppet Workshop, where you can experience the fun of puppetry by making your own Flying Rudolph Rod Puppet or pick up a Create-A-Puppet To-Go Kit to continue the fun at home!

 While you’re There:
(why not save up to 90% off :-)
A great money saving tip is to watch Groupon,  Living Social, and other daily deal sites in the city you will be visiting.  These deals are usually good for 6 months to a year and save you tons on your holiday or let you do a little something extra. If you sign up for the emails to the city you are traveling to on the daily deal sites you can save a bunch on your museum visits, dining out, spas, shops, and more!

The daily deals mentioned above are a great way to save money in the cities you will be traveling to over the holidays, but there are a few more ways to save big bucks. City Pass offers savings up to 50% off on entrance fees for zoos, museums, botanical gardens, and other tourist attractions. These are also a smart thing to buy when you have company coming in for a visit and you know you’ll be doing the tour guide thing. City Pass is in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California, and Toronto. If you are traveling abroad you can also find similar deals, like the Paris Pass.

Go Cards USA saves you up to 55% on over 30 Attractions on One Ticket in several cities.  You can also find Explorer Passes for some cities as well.

The My City Mommy Network has over 25 Mommy's sharing the best deals, events, freebies, and more for their city. Visit My City Mommy to find the cities you can currently find our mommies as well as a huge array of the best family friendly deals in town!

In doing research for this post I found the Bronx Museum has Free Fridays, which brings up a good tip to remember.  If you do a little bit of research before your trip you will find all sorts of freebies, deals, and tips.  Before a trip to Italy a few years back I ordered tickets on-line for some of the museums, costing us a few euro but saving us literally over 10 hours of waiting in lines, ahm, with four kids and my mother-in-law - in one of the hottest summers Italy had seen in years - well worth a few euros!

happy travels :-D
